If it’s the first time you install the driver for CommFront’s USB to Serial device, you will need to install the driver twice. One is for “USB Serial Converter”, and the other one is for “USB Serial Port”. DO NOT close the 2 nd “Found New Hardware Wizard” window while installing the driver.

Virtual COM port (VCP) drivers cause the USB device to appear as an additional COM port available to the PC. Application software can access the USB device in the same way as it would access a standard COM port.
