Lyle W , August 16, 2013Thanks for the additional details. You do have to take independent counts of the lights. Since the vertical row is flashing 5 times, that indicates that '5' is the first digit in your error code. Since the Start light flashes 7 times, that indicates that your second digit in the error code is 7. The E57 code indicates that you have high current running through the motor inverter circuit (the motor control board and the drive motor). Conduct the Test 11 as shown in the technical information that you found. You will probably need to replace the motor, the motor control board or the rear tub spin bearing to fix this problem. If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further. |
Lyle W , August 19, 2013Hello Kirsten. The 'speed control board' is called the 'motor control board' on the parts list diagram. That control board is the one that is beside the drive motor at the bottom of the washer. Unplug the washer and remove the back panel to access and replace that motor control board. The part number for the motor control board is 134409905. Here is a direct link for that part: Motor Control Board . That is an expensive part. Replacing the motor control board will likely fix your problem assuming that you performed the tests properly. There is a chance that you could have other problems with the washer that caused the motor control board to fail. If you need more help, let us know. |
